WOLTURNUS welcomes new handbike-specialist: Feike Waqué
With the the start of May, Wolturnus welcomes a new staff member: Feike Waqué.
Feike was born and raised in Schiedam, The Netherlands. Due to rheumatoid arthritis he started wheelchair racing at the age of 11 and changed to active handcycling in 1997. Along with his sports career, Feike studied Logistics and Economics at the HES in Rotterdam. The last 10 years, Feike was employed at the Wolturnus-distributor Double Performance, working with wheelchairs and handbikes:
„The last 10 years I have dedicated myself to measuring handbikes rather than active racing. In that time I have learned that handcycling is not just about crossing the goal-line first. Of course it is great to measure a bike for top athletes such as Jetze Plat. But besides that, it is also really exciting to help users, who have just started with handcycling to achieve their best possible results.
As Wolturnus handbike-consultant, Feike Waqué will be touring around Europe to represent Wolturnus and our products at important handcycling events.
